Prime Minister Mark Rutte unveils “Escorts Credit” in India

On June 4-6, the largest trade mission in 30 years from The Netherlands visited New Delhi and Mumbai in India.

Prime Minister H.E. Mr.Mark Rutte, alongside Foreign Trade Minister Mrs. Lilliane Ploumen and Agricultural Minister Mrs.Sharon Dijksma, were accompanied by over 100 companies and organizations from The Netherlands. During the 3-days mission, the trade delegation met with Dutch and Indian companies, including a round table discussion hosted by Rabobank with DLL regarding the Indian Dairy Industry, which is the largest in the world.

It was during this exceptional visit that Escorts Credit, a partnership between DLL India and Escorts Ltd was officially launched.

Witnessed by 500 distinguished guests, Prime Minister Rutte together with Minister Dijksma and Minister Ploumen unveiled the logo and trade name for Escorts Credit, at the trade mission dinner attended by joint sponsors, as well as members from the Dutch and Indian governments.

The tie-up will empower farmers who cannot afford an all-out cash purchase, thereby giving impetus to the mechanization of Indian agriculture and the enhanced life of farmers.”

Escorts Group CEO Mr. Nikhil Nanda expressed he is personally committed to make this venture a success for both companies. Both Escorts and DLL were then congratulated by the Prime Minister and the Ministers for Agriculture and Foreign Trade.
