Carlo van Kemenade
Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Member of the Executive Board
Carlo van Kemenade was appointed Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Executive Board of DLL in March 2013. He is responsible for the company’s country organizations and IT activities in 35 countries across Europe, the Americas, Asia and Australia.
Since joining DLL in 1990, Van Kemenade has been instrumental in growing the company’s portfolio and expanding its operations into new markets. He most recently served as Chief Commercial Officer of the company’s Global Vendor Finance business line. From May 2009 to April 2011, Van Kemenade added Interim Head of Global Risk to his list of responsibilities and was tasked with navigating DLL through the economic and financial crisis. His success in this role helped build a solid foundation for the company’s global risk management structure.
Van Kemenade also sits on the boards of several DLL joint ventures. He is currently a member of the Global Board and Chairman of the European Supervisory Board for the AGCO Joint Venture, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Schmitz Cargobull AG Joint Venture, a member of the Board of the Philips Joint Venture in the United States and Chairman of the Global Board of the Philips partnership.
Van Kemenade earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Public Law from Nederlandse Bestuursacademie. He went on to receive a Master of Business Administration degree from Nyenrode Business University and was awarded the titles Valedictorian and Student of the Year. Shortly after that, he also completed a Master of Science in International Management at the same university.
