Meet Amy Bradbury: An end-of-lease expert at DLL

At DLL, we pride ourselves on having a team of dedicated professionals who excel in their fields, and Amy Bradbury is no exception. With nearly two decades of experience in the leasing industry, Amy brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our end-of-lease and asset sales offering.

Career journey
Amy's journey into leasing began just after she finished university, when she worked for a lease advisor for ten years, specialising in the ambulance and NHS sectors. This experience gave her a strong foundation for her career at DLL, where she has been for nearly nine years. During that time at DLL, Amy has developed her knowledge in other business areas while continuing to specialise in the sectors she loves. Completing the Diploma in Asset Finance has further equipped her with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in her role. This qualification has helped her better understand regulatory and commercial topics, enabling her to perform her job to a consistently high standard.

Dynamic role and responsibilities
Amy’s role is dynamic and multifaceted, ensuring that no two days are the same. She manages leases expiring for NHS ambulances and other healthcare equipment, proactively contacting customers before the lease expiry date to provide various end-of-lease options including extension of leases and in-place sales to customers. This customer-centric approach builds trust and strengthens long-term relationships by ensuring customers are always informed and can make the best decisions for their needs. Amy’s responsibilities don’t end there. Her involvement extends to other assets, such as various office equipment and technology solutions, working with customers and dealers to negotiate extensions, sales, and referring upgrades. Her ability to manage these diverse responsibilities is a testament to her expertise and dedication.

Collaborative efforts
Amy is happy to collaborate with customers and work together to find a solution to any leasing or purchasing requirements. A strong team player, she collaborates closely with other asset sales team experts, to ensure we are continually aware of market changes and asset development.  DLL is also very focused on circularity and the lifecycle of assets so Amy works with other teams such as Asset Management and New Business Sales to discuss ways in which we can extend the life of an asset or offer a more sustainable solution. When assets are returned to us, our first option is never to send assets to auction or scrap. For example, we will source new customers who have a requirement for these assets and can also offer refinancing or Pay per use options. This collaborative effort is crucial in maintaining the high standards of service that DLL is known for.

What Amy enjoys most about her role
Amy thrives on the variety that her role offers. She enjoys working with different customers, traders, dealers, and converters, which means that every day is different. Putting the customer first, Amy regularly enjoys visits to customers and partners, as well as to our storage sites to ensure that all assets are accounted for and in good condition, maintaining the integrity of DLL’s inventory and is always available to help address any concerns or opportunities that arise. This variety keeps her job exciting and ensures that she is always learning and adapting to new challenges.

Personal interests
Outside of work, Amy is a passionate football fan, supporting Newcastle United. Her love for the sport is a testament to her team spirit and dedication, qualities that she brings to her professional life as well.
