Funding fitness equipment which generates energy
Today De Lage Landen (DLL), Atholon, and Technogym kick off the Human Energy Challenge 2014, a collaborative initiative in which they joined forces to encourage awareness on responsible energy usage and the need for a more sustainable future.Human Energy Challenge

From September 15th until the 29th, nine fitness clubs within the Netherlands and Belgium equipped with Technogym’s innovative ARTIS RENEW fitness equipment will generate energy through physical exercises which will be directly supplied into the building’s grid to power the gym. During the Human Energy Challenge, this generated energy will metaphorically be used to charge the battery of a Tesla Model I-S. The fitness club which generates the largest amount of energy will eventually win the challenge. The competition will be rounded of with an event around the theme ‘sustainable mobility’ on October 9th where all participants eventually can experience electric driving.
