Wayne, PA – June 14, 2017 – DLL a global provider of asset-based financial solutions, launched a community involvement initiative focused on supporting hunger-relief efforts in communities across the globe, “Feeding Our Community”.

DLL North America started this inspiring food campaign by partnering with local food banks throughout May and June to collect and/or package meals for those in need. The DLL office in Wayne, PA donated an impressive 14, 378 pounds (6522 kilograms) of food for the Chester County Food Bank. That will create approximately 11, 982 meals!

Members in DLL’s Oakville office collected two full truckloads of food to donate to the Partnership West Food Bank and the Johnston office has a goal to package 30,000 meals for the homeless in partnership with Iowa based Meals From the Heartland later this month.

”It was inspiring to see our members come together to donate not just their time but such a generous amount of food to those in need,” Jeff Berg, EVP of North America remarked. “We also learned that at this time of the year, many food banks struggle to keep their shelves full. The timing of this community involvement program really made a positive impact when these food banks struggle the most. I am so proud of the generosity and commitment the team demonstrated.” While DLL member donations will make a big difference in their local communities, they’ve contributed on an even larger scale, joining in DLL’s global initiative dedicated to fight hunger across more than 30 locations worldwide.

DLL has a comprehensive community involvement program designed to make a positive societal impact. Members are offered two paid days per year to volunteer during working hours. Volunteer activities include environmental protection and food supply, economic vitality and entrepreneurship, ensuring quality in healthcare and care for people, and youth empowerment and financial literacy.
